Using the database replication feature provided by the Alkacon OCEE Replicator, it is possible to replicate the complete (or part of the) OpenCms repository data to remote database instances. These remote instances are also automatically updated when changed data is published. Using this feature it is for example possible to have a separate internal OpenCms “work server” inside of a secured intranet, and a public OpenCms “production server” in a DMZ.
Please see the compatibility notes for the list of databases compatible with this OCEE module.
Please note: Replication is done only in one direction, so in the above example, no content is replicated from the public “production” server in the DMZ to the internal "work server".
The Overview acts as starting point to view the replication settings, statistics and to start an incremental or full replication process manually.
The replication settings allow control about the VFS sources and target servers of the replication.
Statistics about the last executed replication process are shown with details about the count of replicated resources, the duration and further information.
We have compiled a PDF document that contains an overview about all our available OCEE products, OpenCms training courses and OpenCms support options.
